Educational Philosophy

At Strong Roots Discover & Play, education begins with honoring the natural curiosity of children.

I believe children learn best through hands-on exploration, meaningful play, and authentic connections with the natural world.

Childhood is not a race to master skills but a journey of discovery where confidence, resilience, and a love for learning take root.

My philosophy is grounded in the understanding that play is the foundation for all learning. Through play, children develop creativity, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with others.

Nature provides the perfect setting; open, dynamic, and ever-changing, where children can take healthy risks, build physical strength, and cultivate a deep sense of belonging.

The arts are an essential part of childhood and, in my program, are play-based and process-oriented. Through open-ended artistic experiences, children are free to explore, express themselves, and discover new ways of learning and creating.

I also believe in recognizing and celebrating cultural diversity through a multicultural curriculum that authentically represents the diverse histories and cultures of different ethnic groups.

My role is to guide, support, and create safe, joyful opportunities that spark curiosity and empower children to flourish.

I believe in the power of play and learning through play.
