“A place where he can truly thrive”

Strong Roots Discover and Play has been such a gift to our family. My 5-year-old truly loves going to school. Miss Allison, has created a calm, nurturing environment where my son feels safe, understood, and excited to learn.

Before finding Strong Roots, traditional daycare/preschool was a daily struggle. Drop-offs were filled with tears, and he had a hard time connecting—he couldn’t remember names of classmates and every staff member was simply “teacher.” As a parent, it was heartbreaking.

Since starting at Strong Roots, the change in him has been remarkable. He’s made real friends, grown so much socially and emotionally, and gained confidence in himself. Spending so much time outdoors—exploring, playing, and connecting with nature—has made a huge difference for him. He comes home happy, and excited to share what he’s done each day.

As someone who works in healthcare, I’ve noticed a big improvement in his health. In traditional indoor settings, kids are often sick every other week, but at Strong Roots, with the daily fresh air and active outdoor play, he and his classmates are rarely ill! The benefits of being outside are clear, and it’s comforting to know his body and mind are both being supported.

Miss Allison truly sees each child and meets them where they are. Strong Roots Discover and Play has changed how my son feels about school and learning, and we are so grateful to have found a place where he can truly thrive!
